More than 600 representatives attending from the industrial and commercial sectors as well as the Group's investors in Hong Kong and China filled the event with a festive atmosphere. <br/><br/> The cocktail started with a special percussion performance creatively utilising the containers and cans of solvents, coatings and lubricants -Yip's Chemical's three major products as musical instruments. The performance represented the diverse yet synergic development of the Group's businesses and its penetration into different markets through constant innovation.<br/><br/> <b>Mr. Tony Ip, Chairman of Yip's Chemical</b>, said, "In the past 40 years, we were guided by the founding philosophy of  Hard work makes up for natural shortcoming; Integrity wins trust' to consolidate our strengths and expand our market. I would like to express my gratitude for the dedication of our management and staff, as well as the strong support from our various business partners and the investment community over these years. The theme of the Group's 40th anniversary is "Respect for and Cooperation with all Stakeholders; Thirst for Talent and An Undivided Focus on our Core Businesses." The total production capacity is expected to increase gradually to support an annual turnover of approximately HK$20 billion by 2015.<br/><br/> Apart from focusing on developing its core businesses, the Group has also placed fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities as its top priority. Guided by the motto "What comes from the community is to be used for the community," the Group has always been keen for participating in charitable activities and addressing the needs of the underprivileged group as a means to build a harmonious society. Starting from 2008, the Group has donated three mobile eye surgery centres to Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Jiangsu and Shandong Provinces, providing timely sight-saving treatment to over 8,000 cataract patients in China. A video with the sharing of cataract patients who are beneficiaries of the mobile eye surgery centres was also broadcasted during the gala celebration. All guests could come to realise how the mobile eye surgery centres have changed the lives of poor cataract patients. Last year, the Group decided to expand the scale of the project and develop it into a flagship CSR programme - "Yip's Chemical Ten-Year Mobile Eye Surgery Centres Donation Project." It pledged to donate at least ten mobile eye surgery centres with advanced equipment to at least ten provinces in China during the next decade to further provide treatments to cataract patients in remote areas. Yip's Chemical does not settle for being a mere donor. In September 2011, the Corporate Volunteer Team in a group of 14 persons visited the surgery centre in Jiangsu Province to understand its operations. They also visited some cataract patients who restored their eyesight from the surgery centre and conducted blindness prevention education.
