Solvents are the largest of the Group's core businesses and the Group is the world's largest acetate solvent producer.

The Group produces mainly eco-friendly industrial organic solvents which can be grouped into raw solvents and mixed solvents. The raw solvents include ethyl acetate, normal butyl acetate, mixed butyl acetate and ethanol which are extensively used in industries in coatings, tannery, medicine and adhesives. Mixed solvents, commonly known as "thinners", are the auxiliary ingredients of paints, inks and industrial coatings. They are mostly used in the toys, electronics, printing and furniture industries. The sales of mixed solvents follow in lockstep with the increase in the Group's production scale of paints and inks and are growing tremendously every year. Together with the raw solvents, they make up the very core of the Group's businesses.

Presented with China's huge market demand, Yip's Chemical grasps full advantage of the opportunity not only by expanding its acetate solvent capacity to ensure its competitive edge in the industry, but also by developing new related products that offer synergic effects. The Group's 80,000 metric ton production line for butyl acrylate is put into operation officially in 2012.
