Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited (HKEx: 0408) (”Yip’s Chemical” or the “Group”), one of the largest manufacturers of petrochemical products in China, announced that Taixing Jinjiang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (”Taixing Jinjiang”), which was acquired by the Group through a wholly owned subsidiary in February 2008, has been given approval by the Taizhou Economic and Trade Committee to add ethyl acetate and butyl acetate production lines to the ethanol plant in the Taixing Economic Development Zone of Jiangsu province. The Group has recently laid the foundation stone for the new acetate solvent factory, which signified the formal entry of the Group into the raw solvents market in Eastern China with this vertically integrated solvents production facility.

Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited (HKEx: 0408) (”Yip’s Chemical” or the “Group”), one of the largest manufacturers of petrochemical products in China, and its two subsidiaries Bauhinia Paints and Best Lubricants, through the Asian Foundation for the Prevention of Blindness, had donated a mobile eye surgery centre to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The more than HK$2.2 million mobile eye surgery centre will be able to perform cataract removal and implants of artificial lenses for between 1,500 to 2,000 cataract patients a year to help them restore sight and color vision. The Group is confident that the mobile eye surgery centre is an effective platform to reach the patients in the rural areas and provide them with the eye treatment.

Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited (HKEx: 0408) (”Yip’s Chemical” or the “Group”), one of the largest manufacturers of petrochemical products in China, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiaries Hang Cheung Petrochemical Limited and Hang Cheung Coatings (Hui Yang) Limited (together called “Hang Cheung” ) have entered into agreements with four companies, namely Pak Lam Chemical Co. Ltd., Mayland Chemical Co. Ltd., Dongguan Shatian Jingfeng Coatings Co. Ltd., and Shanghai Shuangjin Chemical Co. Ltd. (together called the “Companies” or “Pak Lam”), to acquire all operations of Pak Lam for a total consideration of HK$33,000,000.

Sichuan earthquake: no injuries and minor damage to Chengdu plant

The Group is pleased to announce that there are no injuries to our employees during the Sichuan earthquake and no structural damages to our coatings plant in Chengdu. On 12th May, Wenchuan was shaken by massive 7.9-magnitude quake that demolished the city. The Group’s coatings plant in Chengdu, located 90 km from Wenchuan, also felt the earthquake.

Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited (HKEx: 0408) (”Yip’s Chemical” or the “Group”), one of China’s largest manufacturers of petrochemical products, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary Yip’s Ink & Chemicals (Group) Ltd. (”Yip’s Ink”) has acquired the total control of all tangible assets of Fusen Ink Chemical Co., Ltd. (the “Company” or “Fusen Ink”) including land, plants and production equipment, at a consideration of RMB23,800,000 (approximately HK$ 26,500,000). According to the assessment by an independent accountant, taking into account revaluation and depreciation, the tangible assets are valued at approximately RMB24,740,000. The consideration in cash will be satisfied through the Group’s internal resources.
