Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited (SEHK: 00408) (“Yip’s Chemical” or the “Group”) donates its “EUCA” branded personal and household sanitization products, which will soon be launched in the market, to the Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association (”HKYWCA”). More than 6,000 bottles of moisturizing hand sanitizer and alcohol-free hand sanitizing foam will be donated to over 3,000 families in need, including single-parent (mother) families. The Group’s volunteers helped pack the anti-pandemic kits at the Shatin Integrated Social Service Centre of HKYWCA last Friday and expressed warm regards to a number of beneficiary families.

The Group pledged the donation to the underprivileged families through the ”Disease Prevention Actions” campaign of HKYWCA, which promotes women’s empowerment. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 at the beginning of the year, there has been a pressing demand for anti-pandemic supplies in the community and the Group therefore donated its brand new “EUCA” sanitization products to the needy. Members of “Yip’s Chemical’s Volunteers”, the corporate volunteer team, packed and handed out the anti-pandemic kits at HKYWCA’s Shatin Integrated Social Service Centre last Friday. Each kit contains an EUCA moisturizing hand sanitizer, a kids-friendly EUCA alcohol-free hand sanitizing foam, a hand-hygiene teaching pack and a red dates tea bag. The volunteers also met some of the beneficiary families who were scheduled to pick up the kits, and educated them the important tips of hand hygiene and disinfection.

“EUCA” is Yip’s Chemical’s first personal and household disinfection brand. Its product portfolio includes eucalyptus sanitizing spray, moisturizing hand sanitizer and kids-friendly alcohol-free hand sanitizing foam. “EUCA” products are made in Hong Kong with premium ingredients including medical-grade or food-grade ethanol, France-imported essential oil and plant-derived moisturizer, in order to cater for health-conscious individuals. The products have been tested under European Standard BS EN 1276:2009 to verify their effectiveness in removing 99.9% of common bacteria. The production site meets the stringent ISO 22716 and FDA GMPC standards and the products are manufactured in ISO Class 100,000 clean room.

Mr. Ip Kwan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Yip’s Chemical, said, “Rooted in Hong Kong for almost 50 years, Yip’s Chemical always cares about social needs and is committed to social responsibility. Under the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that purchasing anti-pandemic supplies poses certain financial burden to the disadvantaged. Thus, through the donation of our “EUCA” disinfection products to them, we hope that we can help combat the pandemic with the community together. The Group will continue to explore different ways of giving back to society, undertaking our motto of ‘from the community and for the community’.”
